Prayer Requests:
- Pray for peace and unity in the house. Living with 8 other women can be difficult, so pray that people would be kind, forgiving, and patient with each other.
- Pray that Jess and Kevin would be refreshed and renewed by their sabbaticals. Pray that they would come back with strength and stamina to carry the organization forward.
- Pray that our staff would be able to carry the burden of Teen Challenge without their leadership! Give them the ability to love the women well, the courage to do and say the hard things to keep them on the narrow path, and for ongoing health and for healing of current physical conditions.
- Pray for all the life lessons that the women will learn through the garden, which was planted at the end of May. Pray for weeding of our hearts as well as the soil, for a bountiful harvest of not only veggies, but also for the fruits of the spirit, and pray for perseverance to go out and tend to the garden even when they don’t want to.
- Pray for a successful event in October, our 6th annual Drive the Road to Recovery. Pray that changes we are making to the evening will be impactful. Pray for the Lord to provide the blessing of financial support that this event brings in each year.
Praise Report:
- We planted the garden! This is a huge project for our clients and staff to manage over the summer months and we learn so much throughout the process.
- We have recently started an Alpha course at ATCWW and the women are loving the information and the time spent together. (This is our 3rd Alpha course that we’ve done)
- All of our current clients have been here over 30 days. This is a great group of women and they all want to be here and to break free from their addictions. Over half our clients have been here over 90 days!

About the Organization:
CEF believes that every child needs Jesus. Their desire is to reach unchurched, unreached children with the Gospel, disciple them and establish them and their families in a local Bible-believing church. Our primary opportunity is the after-school Good News Club® which impacts the child, the family, the school environment, and the community. The Western Wisconsin chapter, which encompasses seven counties in the Driftless region, has a population of approximately 33,000 children and 124 elementary schools. In the summer, we train teens to impact the next generation with the Gospel in backyards, parks and festivals.

- Pray for the construction of a Medical Clinic 1.5 hours south of Luang Prabang Laos where there is no medical care available. Pray that the local and District Governmental officials sign off on the project and construction can start. This will be the only medical facility in the area. It will be operated and run by our national mission partners in Laos.
- Pray for the balance of the funding to be raised for the medical clinic.
- Pray for the formation of a team to go to the clinic in October to put the finishing touches on the clinic.
- Pray for the Child Sponsorship program as we now have 280 additional children at risk who need support for their nutrition, education and housing. Many of these children are from the poorest areas of Laos.
- 100,000 nutrition bars have been produced, but now the borders are closed so prayer is needed to find alternative ways to get the nutrition bars into Myanmar to help alleviate malnutrition among the children. Many necessary food items have become scarce with the political turmoil and children are suffering. The nutrition bars are manufactured by ministry partners in Laos and sent to Myanmar. This helps create jobs for Laotian people and also benefits the Myanmar children.
- Pray for the educational system in Laos, as many teachers have not been able to be paid for five years and are leaving the teaching profession to find jobs elsewhere. The education system is in very desperate need of teachers, as the children are not able to attend school.
- Praise God that the exchange rate has stabilized for the dollar and the Lao Kep, as the extreme inflation made it even more difficult for the Lao people.
- Praise God for the new programs added for the women’s training center, so more women can be trained and become self sufficient and reduce the risk of being trafficked.
