About the Organization:

CEF believes that every child needs Jesus. Their desire is to reach unchurched, unreached children with the Gospel, disciple them and establish them and their families in a local Bible-believing church. Our primary opportunity is the after-school Good News Club® which impacts the child, the family, the school environment, and the community. The Western Wisconsin chapter, which encompasses seven counties in the Driftless region, has a population of approximately 33,000 children and 124 elementary schools. In the summer, we train teens to impact the next generation with the Gospel in backyards, parks and festivals.

Prayer Requests:

Good News Club®

  • Pray for a Good News Club in every school! For the Lord to raise up new partnering churches, providing new laborers to go into new schools in the fall.
  • Staff and Volunteer Support – Remember to pray for ongoing Teacher Trainings and Teacher Enrichment sessions, that they would be fruitful and impactful. Lift up all staff and volunteers, asking the Lord to give them renewed passion, clear vision, and energy as they serve in these ministries.

Good News Clubhouse

  • Pray for the Gospel outreach efforts taking place during the Christmas Train event in December. Ask for the message of hope and salvation to reach many hearts during this special time.

Christian Youth in Action

  • Praise the Lord for raising up one Intern, four CYIA (Christian Youth in Action) students and five Assistant CYIA who have stepped up to prepare for the summer ministry! These teenagers will put in many hours of intensive training, learning to share the Gospel more fully and lead a full VBS-type club to be taken out into the communities’ neighborhoods and parks. They will also share the Gospel to children at local and county fairs and festivals. Please pray for their training week from June 14th to June 20th.
  • Pray for the CYIA leadership as they not only strive to teach many practical methods but seek to disciple each teen deeper in their walk with the Lord.
  • Each teen participates in Partnership-raising which is “Asking God and telling His people” about the prayer and financial needs of their summer ministry. Please pray for this exciting way to be a blessing to God’s people!
  • We are still setting up summer opportunities for these teens, so please pray for the Lord’s choice of locations for the clubs in the neighborhoods to reach the most children with the Gospel.

Kids learn how to share the Gospel with their peers! Pray for kids for Christian Kids in Action (CKIA)

Pray that many families will hear the Gospel and respond at Fort McCoy Valentine’s Party.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for a group of nine church planters in a southern province who just learned about oral Bible storying methods.  Pray that they would feel a burden to share with two villages with new believers. (2 Corinthians 5:14)
  • Pray that God would stir our hearts to pray more.  It has been difficult to inspire the locals to gather and pray daily.  It must be a work of the Spirit.  Pray that He would empower His church to intercede and cry out to Him here.  (Isaiah 64:1)
  • Pray for a dear friend of mine, whose older brother is addicted to alcohol and needs help.  My friend wants to bring him to the city for treatment but the brother has refused any help thus far.  Pray that the voice of the enemy would be silenced and this man would experience true freedom in Christ.
  • Pray that my love for God would continue to grow brighter and stronger.  Pray that I would be filled with the Holy Spirit and power to do the things that the Father is calling me to.  (1 Corinthians 4:20)

Praise Report:

  • Praise God for what He’s doing in one man’s heart who is living with me.  He’s 19 years old and strongly seeking something outside of himself.  God is drawing him ever so gently.  Pray he commits his life to Jesus.
  • Praise God that another believer who is staying with me just finished writing a book and is in the final publishing stage.  This book is a powerful testimony to the transformational journey that this young man has been through.  Pray that God uses it to declare His power to the next generation.
